Where it comes from

Raw natural Manuka honey from New Zealand, from the nectar of the manuka bush's blossoms (Leptospermum).

Brown in colour, thick in texture, with a distinctive earthy aroma.

Stronger and less sweet than ordinary honeys, tending to a slight bitterness — and that is natural.

Gathered in New Zealand's manuka blossom season.

How to use it
  • 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon once or twice daily as desired.
  • Eat directly from the spoon, or use to sweeten drinks and yogurt, or with bread and labneh.
  • Add it to drinks after they have cooled down, not to boiling drinks, to preserve its flavor.

UMF grading is a certified number that describes the quality and authenticity of Manuka honey and is associated with a minimum concentration of the MGO compound. Higher numbers mean a higher minimum MGO, and are not transferable from one grading to another.

Not suitable for children under one year of age.

Honey is a natural source of sugar and raises blood sugar. Anyone with diabetes should consume it in strict moderation and only after consulting a doctor — there is no such thing as sugar-free honey.

Honey is not listed among what is advised to be avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it is taken in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
